– Welcome! –

Welcome to your next holiday! Immerse yourself into a relaxing waterside break in Wroxham, the “Capital of the Norfolk Broads”, staying at the unique Peninsula Cottages – located beside the River Bure close to the iconic Wroxham Bridge, and probably the finest location on the Broads for enjoyable holidays spent fishing, exploring, or simply soaking-up the tranquility.

A range of cottages sleeping from 2 to 8 people, each with it’s own individual style and aspect. Whether it’s sipping a glass of wine on your own patio overlooking the private marina, or enjoying the interest and activity on the main river from the landscaped lawns, there’s a cottage that’s perfect for you.

Each cottage is privately-owned and individually-styled – no two are exactly alike! They are available for rental at competitive rates for full weeks or short breaks; some are rented-out directly by their owners whilst others are managed by professional letting agents. Use this website to learn more about this unique development and browse the different properties. Bookings for some cottages may be made directly from this site, whilst in other cases you’ll be directed to other websites or you can enquire by ‘phone.

Whether you arrive by car and park in the private car park, or you travel by coach or train (just a 10-minute walk to the station), you can enjoy a wide range of holiday experiences and activities without any further travelling. Once you’ve settled in to your cottage, stroll around the landscaped gardens or visit the on-site restaurant and bistro, “The Shed”, offering everything from full English breakfasts, to lunch and evening meals, and sometimes live entertainment on Friday nights.

A 5-minute walk around the Broads Tours marina brings you to Wroxham bridge, where you can choose from a range of ferry boat tours or go out on a self-drive day boat. Whichever you prefer, a trip through the “chocolate box” thatched cottages and into Wroxham Broad is not to be missed.

Across the road is the fishing tackle shop offering a wide range of baits and advice. Stand on the bridge and look back at the Peninsula Cottages. Perhaps you can see yours! A good photo opportunity. Cross to the other side of the bridge and you’re immediately in the centre of this thriving “village”. With it’s selection of take-aways, pubs, restaurants and cafés.

Everything for your self-catering holiday is available just a short walk from your cottage. From souvenir and gift shops to all necessary services such as banks, post office etc. Along with a large privately run supermarket and department store called Roy’s – which won a competition title of the “Largest Village Store in the World”.

A stroll away brings you to the mainline railway station to Norwich and start of the Bure Valley Railway. Enjoy a nostalgic trip to the past on a steam train taking you 18 miles through picturesque countryside – from Wroxham to the railway museum at Aylsham, stopping at villages along the way.

Back at the cottage, relax on your patio, or picnic on the grass enjoying the antics of the boats as they try to squeeze through the tiny Wroxham Bridge. Great entertainment on busy days! Feed the ducks, geese and swans that come to your door taking food from your hand, and say hello to our resident heron that does the rounds every evening. Once the day is done settle into the home comforts and enjoy a good nights sleep. At the Peninsula cottages you don’t need to go anywhere – to be everywhere!
